Today, anyone who wants to install a smart home system on their own is faced with a choice: which tools to use? Which products can be used to create a smart home that is tailored to your specific needs in a cheap, simple and future-proof way? There are many products on the market with different wireless technologies. These wireless products operate in open, vendor-independent systems such as EnOcean, ZigBee or Z-Wave, but there are also some where a manufacturer develops devices for its own specific system.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
And the different systems can be brought together in your home with various repeaters and other control centres. However, even when using these, we need to plan in advance what we want to automate and which products we can use to achieve it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Matter - making your life easier!<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n The new wireless system. Matter is designed to make it even easier to plan and design your smart home for the future. Currently, more than 180 companies are working together on this standard that will transform the smart home industry. This connectivity standard aims to build a bridge between smart home devices so they can work together across all platforms. Users will no longer have to worry about connecting to a device from Amazon, Apple, Google or another manufacturer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n A number of different brands have joined the new standard, such as Amazon, Apple, Google, Ikea, Philips and Samsung, and now Becker, as an expert in the automation of blinds and shades.<\/p>\n\n\n\n As a specialist in the automation of roller shutters and awnings, Becker is already a pioneer in the integration of tube motors into open wireless systems. Customers can choose from a range of tube motors with different standards, such as drives with EnOcean radio module (N01 series), KNX-RF radio module (B01 series) or DECT ULE HAN FUN standard (BoxCTRL or D01 series). Becker's own wireless systems CentronicPlus and Centronic can also be operated via the homee system with Zigbee and Z-Wave products in one system.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \"We don't want to force our customers to use only one system, like a smart home. We want our products to integrate easily with any system of their choice. That's why we are very happy to be approached by Matter. The easier it is for users to connect devices from different manufacturers, the stronger the market for these products will be.\" \"Matter allows customers to have their end devices communicate directly with our motors, such as Apple HomeKit or Google Home. The use of additional central control units or gateways is still possible, but no longer essential.\" Becker is convinced that over the next few years, the new standard will bring improvements in many areas for smart home residents. The technology chosen promises a high level of transmission security. The members of the organisation hope that the standard will be widely adopted and thus become a future-proof solution for users.
