Becker continues its open-minded strategy. Following the launch of the new EnOcean and DECT-ULE radio engine families last year, the company has opened a new chapter in the world of leading wireless smart home systems. Homee - the modular and vendor-independent smart home control - allows users to conveniently control their home through one app with multiple devices from different wireless systems such as Zigbee or Z-Wave.

All devices are connected in a network, created by the devices themselves, in a completely independent way. This type of network is known in the trade as a "self-healing" mesh network. Each device is aware of all the other devices in the network and information flows between devices - unlike other solutions where each device is completely independent and the signal is always transmitted through a central unit. This is a major advantage: the individual devices communicate with each other and the wireless command is sent to the device to be controlled via its own path, which plays a role in the reliability of this signal transmission.

Homee enables you to combine four standard (WiFi, Z-Wave, Zigbee, EnOcean) and three proprietary wireless systems (Becker CentronicPlus, Hörmann BiSecure, Warema WMS) in one application. Users can individually combine the products of the different systems themselves using the different cubes. Modularity is what makes the home special - no other separate central unit is needed for either open (Zigbee, Z-Wave, WLAN and EnOcean) or closed standard (Becker, Hörmann and WAREMA) wireless solutions.
