What does the smart home do?
The heart of the smart home - the centre.
The BECKER range includes two types of home centre. They are called CentralControl 31 (CC31)* and CentralControl 51 (CC51). The difference between the two centres is typically in the design. While the CC51 has a touchscreen display, the CC31 can be connected to a monitor (usually a TV) and operated using a wireless mini keyboard with a touchpad. Both control panels are Wi-Fi enabled, so upgrades can be done easily and at any time, free of charge, as BECKER is constantly improving the system's knowledge and reliability. Both devices can be integrated into a LAN/WLAN network and are capable of playing internet radio, and the CC51 is also able to retrieve weather data and forecasts, The smart home control panel can be accessed remotely from any smart device via the internet, but the command is already transmitted by radio to the controller or motor inside the house. All the functions and scenes taught are stored in a separate built-in memory of the control panels. This innovative solution, unique to the BECKER system, ensures complete data protection, as the information stored is not directly linked to Internet access. So the data is not stored on a remote server.
The radio technology used - is it safe enough?
The answer is, in every respect, YES! From a privacy point of view, it is the most secure system because there is no direct access to the information stored in your home. By this information, we mean the learned scenes, functions and other data associated with them... "Won't the continuous emission of a radio signal harm my body?" - the question may arise. In BECKER's case, radio signals are rather pulses that do not go back and forth continuously between transmitter and receiver, but are triggered only in response to commands and status changes. So the body is not exposed to continuous radiation and is therefore not damaged. In addition to the safety, the radio technology used by the brand is also practical, as the system is compatible with the KNX standard, so that many KNX-compatible products from other manufacturers can be connected to the BECKER smart home.
Is it worth investing in such a system?
If it's BECKER, then by all means. It's a smaller, simpler system with a minimal initial investment that can be expanded at any time, without drilling and milling. A 100-year-old company with 100 years of experience in shading and building automation. The name says it all - and in the case of BECKER, it's true up to 100%. The small German family business has grown into a very serious company, but management and ownership remain in the hands of the family. This is an important factor, as values and philosophy are passed down from generation to generation. The brand is constantly evolving. New technologies are being developed in the triumvirate of safety, energy efficiency and comfort. Safe thanks to radio technology, energy efficient because the system's components consume negligible amounts of energy even in stand-by mode and, last but not least, comfortable because the home works according to the owner's expectations.
